Curriculum

Each year at our school we start out with an umbrella theme. Monthly units are designed and implemented. Daily boards are displayed and weekly e-mails are sent detailing our daily activities. These postings include the letter of the day, project, gross motor activity, book and songs. Using the Massachusetts State Frameworks as our guide we accomplish the following goals: Language Arts, Art, History and Social Science, Math, Science and Music.

The Learning Garden Preschool's Objectives

To encourage creativity by providing a variety of interesting, open ended, and developmentally appropriate activities
To supply a positive learning environment
To instill a sense of security through a consistent yet flexible schedule and set of rules
To help students discover their own answers
To empower children with self control by acknowledging their emotions and teaching them relaxation and stress reduction through play
To model physical fitness and good nutrition
